A lot has happened with Joseph. The famine that Pharaoh dreamed about arrived and not only Egypt but the surrounding nations were affected. Joseph's brothers were sent to Egypt by Jacob in order to get food and they were, of course, brought before Joseph. While they didn't recognize him, he recognized them right away and decided to test them, to see if they had changed since he'd known them. When he gave them bags of grain, he had their silver put back in the bags. He also pretended to suspect them of spying and took Simeon as a hostage.

The rest of Joseph's brothers returned to Jacob and they told him what Joseph had said, that the next time they returned, they would have to bring Benjamin with them. Jacob wouldn't let them but as time went on and the grain ran out, Reuben managed to convince him to part with Benjamin. So they all went back to Egypt and Joseph was very happy to see his little brother. However, he still didn't quite trust his brothers, so he played another trick on them by hiding his silver chalice in Benjamin's bag of grain.

Once he "found out" that Benjamin was the thief, Joseph said that Benjamin must stay as his slave. Reuban begged to take Benjamin's place and Joseph realized that this brothers had changed. He revealed himself to them and they were happily reunited. Despite all the bad things that had happened in Joseph's life, God's plan came to fruition. God's plans are always fulfilled, no matter how things might seem.

Jacob and the rest of the family moved to Egypt, where Jacob met Pharaoh. Pharaoh was very impressed with the family and gave them the best place in Egypt to live in. The more God blessed Joseph and his family, the more everyone around them was blessed as well. When God blesses us, He doesn't want us to keep His blessings all to ourself. God pours his life and blessings into us and we are meant to let Him flow through us to everyone else around us.
