God continued to bless Jacob, because of His promise to Jacob. Jacob was ready to leave his uncle Laban but Laban said he'd pay Jacob in sheep; all the sheep that were born spotted, striped or speckled would be Jacob's. Now Jacob, who still wasn't trusting God, followed a superstition where you scared the sheep with sticks, in order to produce spotted, striped and speckled sheep. However, God was the one who caused all the lambs to be that way.

Laban saw this and was upset because Jacob was getting all the sheep. So he changed the wages, saying that only the spotted ones would belong to Jacob. So God, being big enough to deal with Laban's injustice, caused all the sheep to be born spotted. Once again, Laban changed the wages and God kept changing the sheep accordingly.

Jacob was fed up with Laban's unfairness and packed up his family and left in the night, fearing Laban. Laban was very upset and was going to hunt Jacob down but God told him to calm down and simply speak with Jacob. God was defending Jacob, just as He promised. So Laban found Jacob and they parted on good terms.

We learned that we can always trust God even when people wrong us or life is unfair.  God doesn't need our situations to be fair in order to bless us and keep His promises to us.  God is bigger than all of our situations.  Even if things are unfair, we don't need to fight for ourselves.  We can trust God to fight on our behalf and keep His promises to us.
